Italy

Seth took off for Italy recently and is traveling with other students from his college. They will be gone for 9 days. I think he said the flight is about 8 hours long. They left Chicago at 10:30 at night. They are going to Venice, Florence, and Rome. They will see the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican. I know they are set up for other tours also. This will be a trip of a lifetime. This is the first time he has flown without his family. I know he is very excited about it and I hope the time goes very slow and he enjoys it.

Winter Weather

Well, here it is the first part of March and it's coming in like a lion. The worst blizzard we've had in years. It's kind of cool in a way. Everyone is pretty much stranded and it's fun to stay in and bake and cook while it's so cold and snowy outside. The snow is piling very high and it makes for a lot of snow shoveling and plowing. I am very thankful that we have a warm home to be in and out of the weather.

Walt Disney World

We have visited Walt Disney world a few times and when you are there it's like you are in a different world. Every ride has a unique way about them. This park is perfect for people of all ages. I do enjoy Walt Disney World over Disney Land. The one nice thing about Disney Land is that it is in California and the weather there is far more pleasant cause it's not humid there.

Mel Gibson

Mel Gibson is my favorite male actor. He is so talented. He did an awsome job on the movie the Passion. There are so many of his movies that I enjoy. Forever Young and Bird on a Wire are
a couple of them. He can be so funny but then there are times when he plays a good serious actor.
I hope he will come out with a new movie soon.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day is here. What a fun day it's been. I've gotten flowers and candy from my husband and we had a nice meal together. I received a monetary gift from a nice friend of mine that was very much appreciated by me. It surprised me. Like Christmas it would be nice if we could have fun loving days like this all the time. It was so fun when my kids were little and they would hand out their little valentines to their friends and then get so many back. Just seeing the fun they had was worth it all.

blizzards

We had alot of snow fall lately. I really don't care for snow but it was kinda pretty. Blizzards are the best especially when you live on a farm. I loved them when I was a kid. Getting snowed in was the best. There would be times when the storm was so bad that we wouldn't be able to see the barn from the house. We would sometimes lose the power in our house and it felt like we were living in the olden days. We sat by candlelight and played games. We had so much fun.

February

Wow, it's February already. It has been so cold and I'm getting tired of winter. At least February is a shorter month and that should help. I just hope this month won't have a lot of snow and it will be more mild. About this time is when I can get cabin fever.
