Shopping

This past weekend when my sister was here we had a great time. We did so much shopping it was kind of funny. We spent all of Saturday shopping and then on Sunday we did more in the afternoon. My sister was so funny to watch cause pretty much every store she went in she found something to buy. We had alot of laughs and good visiting. I love it when she comes. I wish we lived closer so that we could do that more often.

Pirate Master

I've been watching the new show Pirate Master. It's from the same creater of Survivor. It's somewhat good but has alot of similarities as Survivor. It's not a show I'm terribly excited about but since there really isn't much else worth watching on I do watch it. It is kind of cool how it's very much like the whole pirate thing...that's fun to see what they come up with. Anyway, it's not the best show on and it's not the worst.

My sister

My twin sister is coming to visit tomorrow. She does this every summer. We spend a whole day shopping in a larger city. We eat out and catch up on what's going on in each others lives. It is great fun and we look forward to our time together each summer. I can't wait till she gets here. The time always goes too fast but we make the most of it.

Dr. appointments

Yesterday I had two dr. appt. I had a preop physical because I am having surgery this next week. Then my husband and I had to drive to Ames which is about an hour and a half to go to my main dr. who will be doing the surgery. It was a long day of waiting to see the drs. but I'm glad it's over and now I'm set for my surgery day. I am so looking forward to getting it done and know that I will feel alot better in the near future.

Des Moines

My husband and I went to Des Moines for the afternoon and evening yesterday. We went and did some shopping and went to Sam's Club. We have found that you can save quite a bit of money on certain items there when you buy in bulk. It's a fun store to walk around in. We ate at Ryan's which is a delicious buffet. They have a very wide range of selection and like usual we ate alittle too much. It was a fun day but on the other hand we got home too late. Oh well, it was still fun.

Happy 4th of July!

It's time to celebrate our freedom and the wonderful country that we live in. We are so fortunate to live in this country when we see how so many other countries have to live. We visited Mexico awhile back and though in alot of ways it was beautiful I was so glad to get back to the United States of America. We feel so blessed to be citizens of this great country. I hope everyone feels the same way and I also hope you can celebrate in a special way on this day.

July 4th

Our nation's independence day is tomorrow. We usually celebrate it with a barbecue and all kinds of yummy food. Then around 9:00 p.m. we head out to the lake and watch fireworks. It's a fun day. When our kids were younger we always tried to go see a parade but haven't done that for quite a few years now. That's always fun to do, too. Sounds like we are going to have some hot and humid weather but that's usually how the 4th should be.
