Florida

Last Friday we returned from our vacation to Florida. Twice a year we take a trip there and try to be gone for 2 weeks. Our sons flew down there and spent one of the weeks with us this time. We had such a great time! We went to Kennedy Space Center, went to Downtown Disney and Universal Walkway. We had some time on the beach and went to a very large Flea Market. It was awesome! My favorite part was the beach time. It's so lovely there and towards the end of our vacation the weather was getting warmer and more sunny. It was fantastic!

Vacation!

I am so ready for a vacation. My husband and I are taking a trip to Daytona Beach in the near future and we are so excited to go. Where we live the weather has been really nice but you can definitely feel fall in the air in the mornings and evenings. We love fall but aren't quite ready for summer to be over so it will be nice to have some time on the beaches and relax in the sunshine. We are very blessed to have a good friend let us stay in her condo while we are there. It is right on the beach. Our vacation can't come soon enough. Looking forward to it.

To Florida and Back

Well folks, we went to Florida and was it a wonderful vacation. We had so much fun, it was hard to come home again. It was especially hard to come home to 30 degree temperatures after 80's and 90's. We could live there permanently. Maybe some day we will. We were able to stay in the beautiful condo right on the lovely white sand beach. We never get tired of it. It is so beautiful there. Of course, there is no place like home and eventually you get home from vacation and it is good to sleep in your own bed, relax in your own recliner and sit back and talk about the wonderful times we had in Florida.

Florida

I am so excited because we are going to Florida again very soon! We again are driving down which is not a favorite thing of mine to do but it does cost less so that helps. We are going to Daytona Beach where we stay for free in a friends condo. It is right on the beach and the front window to the condo looks out over the ocean. I can hardly wait! I love it there and we are both looking forward to some rest and relaxation on that beach!

Chillin on the Beach

My favorite thing we did when we were on vacation in Florida was chillin on the beach. My husband and I spent the majority of time while gone on the beach and in the water. It was so relaxing and we came home very brown. I loved it and I really miss it. Back where we live it is cold! It was in the 90s while we were there. It was so amazing and beautiful!

Vacation Time

I am so ready for another vacation. I seriously could be on vacation every other month if we could afford it and if we could take time off from work that often. I guess it is so nice to just get away from home and forget everything about life and just relax. I am hoping to get time like that in the near future sometime but we will see. Even having a week off and being home can be pretty nice. I would choose the first one over the latter one but time will tell.

The Rockies

A couple of weeks ago my family and I took a trip out to Loveland, Colorado and Estes Park. We were planning to attend my nephew's wedding there. We took one day and spent it up in the Rockies. The mountains are so beautiful and we had a really great day. One of my favorite spots was at the Stanley Hotel. There we got a picture of my husband and me with the mountains behind us. It really turned out nice.

Disney World

Over a week ago already my immediate family all went to Disney World. We got park hopper tickets and went to Hollywood Studios, Epcot and the Magic Kingdom. It was a fun filled day and we stayed till almost 10:00 P.M. We got there when the gates opened. I'm sure glad we took the time to go one more time while our sons were with us. It was a great day!

Easter Sunrise

We spent Easter Sunday in Florida. We all decided that we would go out to the beach and watch the sunrise. It was perfect and so gorgeous. We praised our heavenly father for the beautiful sunrise he provided on that special Easter morning.

Walt Disney World

The other day we bought park hoppers at Walt Disney World. We decided since our boys were with us on vacation we would celebrate our 30th anniversary going to the parks. We had a very long day and it was very tiring but well worth it. Lots of fun and enjoyed rides from 3 of their parks. We all slept very well that night from all the fun and time on our feet.

Florida Beaches

My family is in love with Florida beaches. We are going to be taking a vacation there and plan to spend a lot of time on the beaches. We have been to several there and our favorite is Daytona Beach. It's big and flat. It is so inviting. We are excited to take another vacation there. Planning to be gone for 2 weeks. It can't come fast enough for me.

Longer Vacation

It is so funny that awhile back when we started planning our vacation we set our dates to be gone just over a week. The next thing I knew was that a girl at work wanted to switch Sundays with me so I did that and it made it so we could leave even earlier. Then I looked at my schedule and I saw I had one day of work interrupting going another 3 days earlier so I asked a co worker if she would work for me. Now we are going to be gone almost 2 weeks! I am so excited! Looking forward to a nice long break from home and work!

Palm Trees

When we were on vacation to Kauai we saw many beautiful plants and trees. And because it is a more tropical island there were plenty of palm trees. That has to be one of my favorite things to see when we go on a trip like this. I spotted a couple of them together so I took an opportunity to take a different angle picture of it and I am pleased at how well it turned out so I want to share it on my blog.

Blow Hole

A very cool thing we saw when we were in Kauai was a blow hole. It was fun to watch it blow the water out of the hole and the sound that it would make was very unique. My husband was in charge of taking pictures of it and I think he got a couple of good shots of it when it was blowing.

Hawaii

In just over a month my husband and I are going to join another couple who are dear friends and we are taking a trip to Kauai, Hawaii. This is the first time that we have ever been there. Our friends have a time share and they invited us to go along with them. We are very excited and can't believe it's almost here. We have been planning this for a very long time. It seemed so far away when they first asked us and now it's just a month away.

Vacation

I have been on vacation since last Tuesday. It has been a very nice break from work. In this week I have been off we took a road trip to Texas to surprise our family down there and go to our great nephew's graduation party. We definitely surprised our niece. We made her cry. It was nice and hot down there too. Both days we were there it reached 100 degrees. We enjoyed it because where we live was only in the 50s and 60s. Tomorrow I go back to work. I have one day off out of 7 so I am very glad I had this stretch off from my job.

Pirate Show

At the Treasure Island Hotel in Vegas they have a pirate show every evening starting at 8:30. So we went to check it out one night. It was good but it had changed a lot since 1996. That was the last time we had seen it with our boys. Everything about Vegas seems to be related to sexual content. Even the pirate show. Sure all the lights and smoke and shooting of guns was fun to see but the story itself was disappointing. Vegas is not the place for Christians to spend much time at.

Fremont Street

On our vacation to Las Vegas we took the bus to Fremont Street at least three times. It is located on the north end of the strip and we were staying on the south end. We had heard that it had a canopy over the top of about three blocks and at night it was all lit up with music playing. Fremont Street is the original Las Vegas Strip. It was very amazing to see and was extra fun to see the original signs and hotels located there. And on top of it I won $20 with a nickle spin. That was fun!

Grand Canyon

This past week we took a trip out to Vegas. We also took a day trip to the south rim in the Grand Canyon. We rode a very comfortable bus and were fed a simple breakfast and a nice buffet lunch. We then headed to the Canyon where it was quite chilly and very windy. The Grand Canyon was as beautiful as I remembered when we were there in 1997. We took lots of pictures and had a great time.

Las Vegas

Won't be long and we will be taking a trip to Las Vegas. We are going with my brother and sister in law. They haven't had a vacation in several years so this will be fun for them. We plan to take a Hoover Dam tour and hopefully take a day and go to the Grand Canyon. Hopefully the weather will be gorgeous and not too chilly.
