Funny Picture

Every year when my side of the family gets together for Christmas, we like to take a picture of everyone who attended. First we take a normal regular picture then we always have to take a goofy funny picture. This year was no different and I would like to share that photo with you.

Christmas Preparation

I am busy trying to get the last minute Christmas prep done before Saturday. That is when we will be celebrating Christmas together with our sons. I have some desserts to make, clean house some and work too. I have tomorrow off so I am going to accomplish as much as I possibly can before our sons get home tomorrow night. I am excited and love this time of year.

Decorating

On Saturday I spent most of the day decorating our home for Christmas. Luckily I had my boys home and my husband and they all helped in some sort of way. It fairly smooth and it got done. Then today a co worker and I went to where we work and decorated several trees, it was a big job. The lights would not cooperate and it got a little frustrating. Sure glad that is all done for another year.

Christmas Cards

It is hard to believe that we are over half way through this year already. It is unreal how fast time flies. I work with a gal who just told me the other day that she has begun Christmas shopping already. I know a lot of people try to do that. So if people are Christmas shopping then I suppose they are shopping for those special Christmas Cards that they want to send to friends and family. The internet is a great place to find cards like this. It beats going out and shopping for them plus you can buy them this early and have them when you are ready to start writing in them.

Busy for Christmas

I have been so busy shopping and wrapping gifts. I always do a lot of baking too. Making all kinds of cookies and candy is much fun. We have two boys who are really young men now that can really put away the goodies so it keeps me busy keeping up with them. With working part-time and all the Christmas preparations, I am ready to sit down and put my feet up and take it easy for a while.

Christmas Music

I love this time of year. I can listen to Christmas music all the time. I never get tired of it. Some of my favorite groups have put new music out and I have enjoyed that very much. One group that has surprised me is Glee. I never watch the program but have heard a lot of their Christmas music. It is very good.

Christmas Wreaths

I am very excited about Christmas coming. We have our new addition and I have been buying some new fun Christmas decorations to sit around in this room. We have great windows also in this room where I could hang some Christmas wreaths to enjoy. We also have a large Christmas wreath that looks so nice on our garage. It's a lot of work decorating but it is sure worth it.

Toddler Clothing

Don't you just love seeing little toddlers running around in the cutest little clothes? I have a couple of great nieces and nephews and every time I see them I have to comment on their cute toddler clothing.
Many of these toddler outfits are so colorful and like the Little English clothing they are made for everyday use and can be worn from school to a dinner at church.
I love it when families take family portraits or have pictures taken for Christmas cards and they have the brothers and sisters matching in their outfits. It is so adorable and really makes the photograph look so nice.

Christmas

This is the week I am really trying to concentrate on getting ready for Christmas. I did some shopping today to buy some stocking stuffers, groceries and necessities. It's been a busy week and I have one more day off before the weekend. I am hoping to accomplish much tomorrow.

Unique Gifts

With Christmas close by it can sometimes be a challenge to think of that special gift for someone who is special in our lives. Maybe you are like me when I am thinking about my sister and getting unique gifts for her, she so often buys what she needs or wants for herself so then it makes me want to find her something that is different and unique. She usually loves whatever I have found her.

Diamond Initial Pendant

I am really not too fussy when it comes to gifts but I have to say that receiving jewelry would be high on my list that would make an awesome gift. One item I think would be pretty nice to have is a Diamond Initial Pendant. I've seen some before and think they are beautiful. It's also kind of fun to have a piece of jewelry with my initial on it. Maybe I need to put that on my wish list.

Weight Loss Products

It is well known that by January many people are looking into weight loss products because of the extra pounds they put on over the holidays. You will see advertisements for low calorie food, weight loss pills, and exercise equipment because everyone wants to get in better shape starting out the new year. It's very common and I can almost guarantee that it will happen again this coming January.

With the holidays on our heals it won't be long and you will be hearing from friends and family that they need to lose some weight because of all the holiday foods that they have been eating. Maybe one way they would try to lose it would be to use weight loss pills. I've heard that there are some pretty good ones on the market these days. I've never tried any but have been tempted.

Holiday Cards

With the holidays not to far off I will have to start thinking of my family letter that I like to send along in my holiday cards. I think back to this past year and pick out highlights of what has been going on in our family. I also like to make sure I have good Christian holiday cards to show my faith in Jesus. It is a very special time of year for that.

Holiday Gifts

It is hard to believe but soon we will be seeing signs of the holidays approaching. I know of some people who are already planning their gift buying for friends and loved ones. Wouldn't it be special to give holiday gifts that would help others by giving to a charity of your choice? Maybe it would be in honor of someone close to you that has suffered an illness or has passed on. Not only would this be a wonderful gift but it would be 100% tax deductible. As you plan for the holidays be sure and give this some thought.

Uncle John and Emry

Emry is our great nephew and when we saw him last it was around Christmas time. He is so adorable and makes such great expressions on his face. He is walking everywhere and has a very sweet and fun personality. We enjoyed our time watching him and his cousin Kaelyn together. Uncle John had fun holding Emry.

Christmas Party

We had our work Christmas party today. Many of us were involved in a grab bag and that was fun. All of us brought treats from home, we had a nice variety. We stuffed ourselves so full that my husband and I didn't have supper tonight. It was a good time and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

Recipes

Around Christmas time I start digging out my recipe books and search for something new to make for our family gatherings. I get tired of making the same thing over and over. This year I am going to try a new salad for my side and for our Christmas here at home I am going to try a very delicious sounding dessert. It has a lot of chocolate in it so I don't think I can go wrong. I had one time at an open house and it was yummy so I hope my family will enjoy it too.

Christmas Music

I love it when radio stations or even on Sirius they start playing Christmas music. I have some downloaded onto my computer and love listening to it. As I am typing this I am listening to Amy Grant singing Jingle Bells. The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas goes so fast that I try and listen to this type of music as much as I can.
