John's birthday

It's about the time for another birthday in our house. John turns 54 this year. He doesn't like to make a big deal out of it so we keep it pretty simple. Not sure how we will celebrate. Maybe we will go out to eat or maybe I will just fix one of his favorites. I know I plan to make him a cherry cheesecake, one of his favorites. I'm sure he will be happy with whatever we do.

Back to College

Well, here it is the middle of January and my sons are heading back to college after Christmas break. Our oldest was home 5 weeks and our youngest about 3. It seems like it's been a long time but then I look back and the time has really gone fast. I feel for them cause I know they really don't desire to go back yet and so that is hard. Soon it will be spring break and they will be home again.

January

Here it is the start of a new year. It's January and before we know it it will be December again.
Can't believe where the years go anymore. I am hoping for a safe, healthy, fun new year. Looking forward to this year with celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Hopefully we will be taking a nice trip to. It would be fun to go somewhere out of the U.S.

New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve was fun. We ate lots of good food and watched movies. Our kids had friends over and they stayed up all night. It was good to be out of the cold weather and have some good wholesome fun. Before long we will be doing this all over again. The years fly by so fast.

Day after Christmas

Can't believe it's the day after Christmas already. My sons and I are going shopping to see if we can find any bargains. We will probably be gone most of the day. It's just so fun to get away with my sons once in awhile cause we don't get to do it very often. I'm sure we will probably spend too much money. Now it's time to move onto the new Year.

Working Christmas weekend

I'm bummed that I have to work the weekend right before Christmas this year. At least I have Christmas day off. It makes it hard to figure out when we can do family Christmas's. It will all work out. Hopefully next year I won't have to work so much around Christmas but I bet I will.

Smorgasbord

We went to a Swedish smorgasbord at church the other night. We have it every December around Christmas time. So much to eat and very yummy. Lots of people in our church attend this and it's a great tradition in our church. The Swedish deserts are the best. Of course I was miserably full by the end of the night.
