Drama

It has not been a very good month for me at work. There has been more then enough drama involving staff and residents that live at my work place. The odd thing is is that I think I am a pretty easy person to be around and in 2 situations I was blamed for things I had nothing to do with. There was a lot of accusations, anger and things said that shouldn't have been said. I am going to be very happy when January is over and I am hoping the rest of this fine year will be dramaless.

Working Weekend

Well, it' my weekend to work and I wish I could be home. My boys came home to visit and we are going to have a beautiful fall weekend of weather. Thankfully I only work about 5 hours each day so I should still have some daylight hours with them. I work every other weekend so I treasure my weekends off.

Working Weekend

I just got off a working weekend and it sure is nice to look forward to having this weekend off. I love my job and I get to talk to many elderly residents who live where I work. I help serve the lunch and they are so good to me too. When it was my birthday, they all got together and signed a card for me and made my birthday special. I like doing things for them too to bring some joy into their lives.

Bonus

Tonight my husband who is my boss will find out at his board meeting if the staff will receive the yearly bonus we have gotten over the past years. Last year we got one but it was a smaller percentage. Nobody complained because we were all so thankful for getting what we got. Not only are we all grateful for the bonuses but that we are all still working and have jobs. God is so good.

Bluetooth Headset

Just about anywhere you go you see people on their cell phones. Many people use them to keep in contact with loved ones or business associates. A friend of ours is an insurance sales man and is on the road a lot. He uses a Bluetooth headset all the time to keep in contact with his customers and his main office. It is so handy for him and it keeps him safer when he is communicating while driving down the road. This is a great way to never miss a call.

Online College Courses

I think taking online college courses is a brilliant idea. With my son taking some I see how well it fits in his schedule. He works 3rd shift at his job and comes home to sleep and in the evenings and weekends when he is free he is able to do his school work. This is great for many who need to hold down a job but want to continue their education. My son is working on getting his degree and that is the beautiful thing about this is that you can achieve a degree and even a master's degree.

Raking Leaves

When my husband gets home we are planning to rake out the leaves around our bushes on the north side of our house. They really collect there over the winter and we need to clean them out so that they can breath. It will also look 100% better. It's a bit windy today so hopefully they don't all blow back in before we get them picked up.

Working Christmas weekend

I'm bummed that I have to work the weekend right before Christmas this year. At least I have Christmas day off. It makes it hard to figure out when we can do family Christmas's. It will all work out. Hopefully next year I won't have to work so much around Christmas but I bet I will.
