American Pickers

One of our favorite shows to watch on the History channel is American Pickers. It's cool because they are from Iowa where we reside. It's so fun to see the cool things they find and the value of these things. I am so surprised at times to hear how much they will pay for certain items and how much people are willing to pay them. I love it though because now when we are at antique shops we will spot items that Mike and Frank have found similar in an old building or barn. I hope they keep this show on for a very long time.

Despicable 2

The other night my husband and I went to see the movie Despicable 2. I had seen the first one and thought it was really cute so we needed to see this one. It was pretty cute and the minions and the little girls in it were so adorable. It was fun to watch for me. My husband thought it was okay. I love how they can create such movies.

Lee Greenwood

We had the best time at the fair yesterday. Even if it was terribly hot, we managed to find cool places to cool down. We were able to see free concerts like Lee Greenwood and Davy Jones. We also sat in on the 5 o'clock news which is always fun to do. We got home really late and are feeling it today but it was worth it.

Fair

Next week our state fair begins. My family and I are planning to go on the first day. We have tickets to the concert that evening and I am very excited about that. I'm hoping the humidity levels get better and so does the heat. I'm not a big fan of the fair especially when it's so hot and humid.

Easter

Easter was a great day with my family. Our sons live about 2 hours from us and we drove over to them and attended church together and then had lunch. We later went and took a walk around the campus that our youngest son attends and took several pictures of our day. We had such a great time.

Orlando Vacations

I love to take vacations with my husband and with my sons. We love to go all over but some of our most favorite trips have been orlando vacations. There is so much to do in Orlando and many attractions. You can also find some pretty good deals on motels and hotels down there. Also attraction tickets can be found at a fair price. It is a great place to take a vacation.

Family Friendly Hotels

It is always fun to plan family vacations. You want to find a place where there is a lot to do to keep everyone happy. It is also nice to be able to stay in Family Friendly Hotels. Vegas Vacations

Have you ever had a chance to take Vegas vacations? We were very lucky to get to travel through Las Vegas several years ago and we stayed a couple of nights in one of their beautiful hotels. Vegas is so lively and full of fun. There is so much to see and do there. There is a lot of great entertainment to see for the whole family. It is so worth the time to plan a vacation to Vegas. I am hoping that sometime in the near future we can go again.

Prom

It is prom tonight in our small town and a gal I work with has a daughter who is a freshman in high school and her boyfriend is a junior. They stopped by our house just now so that we could see them all dressed up for the evening. They looked so nice and elegant. It was really sweet of them to take the time to stop by our place.

Food Fair

A couple of days ago we went to the food fair. They hold one once a year. They have lots of sample foods to try and they also give alot of free items away. We always try and go really hungry because we know we will fill up with all their goodies. They always have plenty of bottled water, juices, milks and coffees, etc. to enjoy but didn't seem to have that much this year as far as water and juice goes. It's suppose to be a nice day when we go so that will even make the day more fun. On the last day when they start to close they lay out so many things that are free for the taking so we often bring home bags of stuff.

Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars is always good but it is even getting better all the time now that they have the best dancers on there. I really enjoyed the group dance and watched it about 3-4 times rewinding it on our DVR. I love that show and I hope it will be on for many many years.

New York City Hotels

My husband and I enjoy going on trips and we have never been out to the east coast and would love to go sometime. New York City is one stop we would definitely want to make. It looks like an exciting city with lots to do. Of course, we would have to make reservations in advance for a New York City Hotel. I'm sure they keep booked up most of the time. Taking a trip like this would be a dream come true.

HomeTheater Seating

Can you imagine having your own theater layout in your own home? With all the big flat screen televisions on the market, you could have a big screen on your wall and to add more to the room put in home theater seating. American Idol

I have watched a few beginning episodes at times of American Idol but this season I am going to watch the entire thing. I have set my DVR to record all the new shows and have really enjoyed it so far. I know my sister and her husband are big fans of the show and I think that's why I decided to watch it too.

Facebook

I signed up with Facebook probably over a year or so ago. There are so many adults on there now and it's fun to see what everybody has to say. It can be quite comical. I have one friend on there that gives the most humorous remarks on statuses or whatever. He is very entertaining and I enjoy being a part of Facebook.

Journey to the Center of the Earth

We bought the dvd Journey to the Center of the Earth and with it came 4 pair of glasses so that we could watch the movie in 3D. We had seen the movie in the theater without 3D and really liked it but we found that it was pretty cool seeing the 3D affects. Sometimes it got to our eyes because they seemed blurry but over all it was fun to watch.

Survivor

So are you a Survivor fan? We watch it every week and sometimes it seems repetitious but they have done better this season. My husband and I have watched every Survivor from the beginning. It is starting to wind down and they are starting to add to the jury. Before long now it will be over once again.

Lifetime Movies

We watch a lot of movies that are on Lifetime and the Lifetime Movie Network. They really have a lot of good movies on there. I really don't care for the ones that have spousal abuse on them, I don't care for the violence. But for the most part they are interesting to watch.

Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars is winding down. Tonight they vote off another couple and then they are down to 4. I think I am leaning toward Derek and Brook and Warren and Kim. I mostly enjoy watching them. Warren is probably the most fun to watch because he is such a big guy and is so light on his feet. Lance Bass is another favorite but I don't think he will win it.
