Plane tickets

My husband and his siblings are planning to fly to Palm Springs in September and his brother found out today that his boss won't let him have the day off when they are suppose to fly out. So, my hubby has been on the phone tonight trying to figure out the right thing to do. It would cost way too much to switch the itinerary so it looks like his brother won't be able to go.
