Stress

I think most of us know what causes stress in our lives. Jobs, busy schedules within the family, health issues, it can be a variety of issues. But do we know how it can affect our health and bodies? Stress is chronic, as it is for many people, the body stays on high alert. The many damaging consequences include a rise in cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, damaged blood vessels, decreased mental skills, and a weakened immune system. So what can we do to reduce the level of stress on our bodies?
A couple ideas are avoid predictably stressful situations, try doing only one thing at a time, and clear up the clutter in your life by giving away or throwing away the things that get in your way. Remember, sometimes it's okay to do nothing.

Great ideas. I have long tried to convince people that it is the spirit that is manifested in the flesh, and not the other way around. A stressful spirit, will destroy it's own body.

Unfortunately, many people, because of a fear of worthlessness, will fill their lives with all kinds of "clutter" and... shall we say, "multi-tasking operations", as a means of convincing themselves that they (their lives) have meaning.

It is truly sad. But, and again unfortunately, I have learned the Hard way that you can't help the helpless. And that in deed, we often times enable them with our efforts to help them. That may not make sense but, what sense does it make to worry in the first place? Except of course, to draw attention to ourselves.
