There has been so much rain lately in Iowa that many counties are dealing with flooding. We have some family and friends that live in northern Iowa and in Mason City they received 6 inches of rain in one day. The levy broke and there is flooding in places that has never had flooding before. They are without water due to some issues caused by the flooding. It's absolutely horrible. Where my parents live they have flooding by their grocery store which is making it impossible to have it open. Many people are dealing with unbelievable amounts of water in their homes and basements. My heart goes out to them because we have had problems in the past with a wet basement. So far we have been blessed to keep it dry. They are talking more rain and storms this week, just about everyday. I hope it stops soon.
