Parkersburg

Last week when we were heading home from orientation at the college my son will be attending, we saw the Parkersburg was only 8 miles north off the beaten path. Parkersburg is the town in Iowa that was severely hit by a tornado this spring. It was so sad to see all of the damage. There has been a lot of cleanup but still a lot to do. As we drove around you could see a random boot or shoe laying in a pile. There were mangled bikes and furniture piled high. Many vehicles were destroyed and they were gathering them in a special place. It was just so sad to see all of this and you could actually see the path where the tornado went through, even through the fields.
